T.I.E.R. which
stands for Trendsitions Inc. Employment Resources, under this program the focus
point will be to remain steadfast in teaching transferrable skills along with
expanding on job training skills to help market these individuals that want to
work in the local community. This is a micro-approach to the macro solution to
the end goal of integrated work settings; it is our way of trying to be
innovative and wanting to be pro-active within the Employment First Initiative
based program policy.
The policy, when fully implemented, requires that employment in
integrated work settings be the first and priority option explored in service
planning for working age adults with intellectual and other developmental
disabilities.
